Prelude                                         Be Though My Vision

Opening Hymn* 57                     O For a Thousand Tongues

to Sing

Lenten Reading: John 9:1-41

Nicholas B & Madison V

Call to Worship                    (based on John 9:1-41)

Ldr:    Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows  me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of  life.”

Ppl:    We come seeking the light of Christ, that we might  see clearly and walk in His truth.

Ldr:    Once we were blind, but now we see. Christ has opened  our eyes to the glory of God.

Ppl:    We come to worship the One who gives sight to the  blind and hope to the hopeless.

Ldr:    The man born blind testified, “One thing I do know, that  though I was blind, now I see.”

Ppl:    We too bear witness to what Christ has done in our  lives. He has transformed us by His grace.

Ldr:    Jesus asked, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” The  man answered, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped Him.

Ppl:    We believe in Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, and we come to worship Him today.

Ldr     Let us come with gratitude for the light Christ has brought  into our lives.

All:     We worship You, Lord Jesus, for opening our eyes  and giving us spiritual sight. Shine Your light upon  us as we gather in Your name. Amen.
